History of NCAPPA
The North Carolina Chapter of APPA is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. Our focus is maintaining high standards in the administration, care, operation, planning, and development of facilities used by educational institutions; to promote professional ideals and standards to better serve the objectives of education; and aiding and supplementing the work of APPA: Associate of Physical Plant Administrators.
NCAPPA is the best networking, training, and peer support organization for all facilities professionals across the State of North Carolina. At each of our meetings we have consistently had over 20 colleges/universities represented, 300+ and growing School Participants, 200+ and growing Business Partners, and 25+ and growing educational sessions. Recently we have started to incorporate a “Technical Tuesday” event to bring hands on demonstration to our meetings as well as a “Women’s Event” focused on the value of having women in facilities roles. We also have successfully started to carry out what we call “Site Visits” where we visit institutions around the state and give them a chance to show off their work.
