Micro-Grant Applications
The NCAPPA Micro-Grant Program was established in order to enhance the teams led by supervisors and managers in the field of facilities management. The goal of the program is to provide supervisors and managers another resource to improve team performance for their perspective institution and to advance the purposes of the Association.
Microgrant typical range is $50 to $500.
Potential Ideas for Micro-Grants:
- Team Building Events
- Morale building events
- Specific tools or equipment to enhance the performance,
- Other areas that enhance team performance.

The following criteria will be taken into account by the NCAPPA Board in the evaluation applications:
- Applicant is a full-time employee of an educational institution and currently functioning a supervisory capacity.
- Applicant is actively involved in NCAPPA, SRAPPA, and/or APPA activities.
- Applicant has described exactly what the micro-grant will be used for and how the event will enhance their team’s performance.
- Particular hardships or restrictions placed on a facilities department that limits institutional funds from being utilized for team building events.
- Supervisor’s letter of support.
- Typically, no more than one nomination per individual and no more than three nominations per institution each year.
- Number and dollar amount of awards will be based on funding availability. The application which includes the description of the request and Supervisor’s letter of support should be sent by mail, email, or fax no later than April 17, 2026. The applications will be reviewed, and scholarships awarded no later than the Fall Board meeting. Once the applicant has been approved by the NCAPPA Board, applicants will be notified by email of the scholarship approval.
