Message from the NCAPPA President
Dear NCAPPA family,
This will be my second time around as NCAPPA president. I was previously President in 2018 and have been a board member since 2010. Jokingly, people have asked me why you would put yourself through that again knowing the time and stress that it requires to plan a conference. The answer to me is very simple, APPA has given so much to me in furthering my career that when NCSU decided to be the host school, it wasn’t even a question that I would want to do it again.
The current board has some fresh faces with new and exciting ideas. They are as committed as I am to furthering education in facilities, learning about new products and equipment as well as developing relationships with their peers and our business partners.
I would personally like to thank past President Tai Davis who has left big shoes to fill. He was instrumental in the development of our new website and conference planning tools.
We are looking forward to the new ideas that are currently in place such as hands-on training at our conference, Women in Facilities events, new technology, service projects, and of course our educational classes and our business partners who make our conference possible.
Our success is a result of true community collaboration, led by the dedicated members of our board, the outstanding NCAPPA sub-committees, our wonderful and generous business partners, and our membership. I thank you all for your time, energy, and commitment to this essential organization. I appreciate each one of you for being the best part of NCAPPA. Please join me as we strive for more in 2025.
Sincerely,
— Richard Hassard![]()
